At that moment, I look up, as the snow has started to fall. From the distance, I hear wonderful melodies weaving in and out of the frosted air. The Guild has begin their set at the Shiverbraid Inn…my destination nears. I am eager for their joyful, triumphant music to soothe me, to warm my soul. Marc Guild of Lore is back with a wonderful new album. You are immediately back in that magical place. The Guild conjures magical, cold snowy landscapes and warm candlelit rooms. The escapism and storytelling is impeccable. I am happy to have returned. Favorite track: Summit Of Winter Riders.

Evergreen Guild of Lore’s “Winterstead” album was my introduction to this lovely project. “Return to Winterstead” feels like a return to what feels like a very real place to me now. I was instantly transported to that quaint wintry village.
